Your dashboard contains six smaller windows, five of which display summaries of search data. If you click on the name at the top of a window, you will be directed to the analytics page that is dedicated to the data displayed in that window.
The summaries in these windows provide you with data for trending and popular searches along with search words that are either not yielding results or are flagged as ineffective.
If you click on any search word in these windows, a test search is performed using that word, allowing you to quickly see if the results for that search word are meeting your expectations. By hovering your cursor over a search word, you can access a drop-down menu that provides you with a quick path to many of My Cludo’s tools. You can use these tools to easily modify the selected search word directly from your dashboard.
There is an initial for each tool displayed in the drop-down menu. If a search word has already been modified using one of those tools, the corresponding initial will be displayed next to that word.
The “Search words without results” window displays your site’s five most searched words that did not produce results. If there is a search word on this list that is relevant to your site or business, you can use My Cludo’s tools to modify that search, ensuring it is producing the results you desire.
The “Ineffective searches” window displays the five most significant ineffective searches on your site. These are searches where the user did not click on any of the search results delivered to them. This could indicate that the results delivered by search were not what the visitor was looking for. For these words you should consider either adding additional content related to those search terms or you can use My Cludo’s tools to modify the search, ensuring it is producing the results you desire.
The “Trending search words” window provides you with the five most searched words during the time period you defined in your content filter at the top of your dashboard—this information is only provided on your dashboard. The “Most popular search words” window provides you with the five most searched words on your site. When clicking on the name of either of these windows, you are directed to the “All search words” analytics page.
If any of the words in these lists also appear in either the “Search words without results” or “Ineffective” search words list, it is a good idea to prioritize the improvement of searching those words.
The “Popular pages” window provides you with the top five pages that users have visited by searching your website. This tool can help you identify the content that your users are finding most useful. Additionally, if there are web pages that users are not finding, you can use My Cludo's tools to promote that content and help direct users to it.
