This tool will allow you to remove data in your analytics from specific IP-addresses. You may decide to filter IP-addresses based on these different case scenarios:
- Removing data from your internal traffic (employees or your corporate network)
- Removing data from testing instances
Excluding IP addresses from your analytics
Go to the Settings menu on the left side of your MyCludo dashboard. Select Filter Analytics.
Enter the IP-addresses you'd like to exclude from analytics. You need to use the CIDR notation.
An address in CIDR format describes how many bits of that address are to be masked compared to the subnet it actually represents.
An IPv4 address consists of 4 octects, which each consists of 8 bits. So in all, an IPv4 address contains 32 bits.
If you only want to exclude one specific IP address, you'll want the subnet to represent all bits in that address and add /32 at the end of it.
