The 404 Analysis provides a drill-down into how many visitors hit that broken link, how visitors got to the page, if they clicked on a suggested result, and what that result was.
Total Visits: Total number of page visits to a 404 page during the specified time period
Total Clicks: Total number of clicks on the suggested results that appear within the intelligent 404 page
Click-Through Rate (CTR): The rate at which the 404 suggested pages are clicked. This number is the percentage of visitors who hit a 404 page and click on a suggested page. This does not include any instances where there are no suggested pages.
Referrals: The total number of referring pages to the 404 page
Referral URLs: The web page that sent the visitor to the specified 404 page.
The number next to the referral URLs represents the number of times the referral URL sent a visitor to the specified 404 page.
No referrals detected: In some cases, Cludo cannot specify how the user gets to a 404 page. Examples include:
- A website visitor enters the URL to a page incorrectly
- The link is a direct link
- If a link is booked marked
- The page was hyperlinked in a mobile application
Clicked URLs: The web page that a visitor clicked on from the suggested pages presented by Intelligent 404
The number next to the clicked URLs represents the number of times the suggested page was clicked on from the 404 page.
